Camas Ridge, Old Thistle Mine, Christie Falls

November 27, 2021

~ submitted by Ken Warren

Although the weather and other factors kept enthusiasm down, Maggie and I headed into the rain. Camas Ridge was socked in which concentrated our focus on the trees and rock formations reminding us of why we hike.

The mine gave us a nice respite from the rain, but the air was so saturated our lights barely illuminated our path and made photography difficult.

Lower, middle and upper Christie Falls were impressive, but will be even more so tomorrow.

We skipped some of the enhancements we’d have done with a group but managed 13+ km and 500 m elevation gain.
