After you have completed the online membership form, select your membership type and pay your dues.
The Island Mountain Ramblers is a member of the Federation of Mountain Clubs of British Columbia (FMCBC). When you pay your dues a portion of the dues goes to the FMCBC to pay for liability insurance. This covers you and trip leaders from libellous claims while hiking. Additionally, it helps pay the costs of producing the FMCBC’s journal, Cloudburst.
The remaining dues are used to pay for renting a hall for the club meetings, providing rebates on outdoor education courses hosted by the Island Mountain Ramblers, trail clearing gear, and some gear for club trips.
