Hallowe’en Weekend at Blueberry Cabin, Kludahk Trail

On Halloween evening, a small group of friends, Island Ramblers and Club Treaders set off in the howling wind and rain to spend a couple of nights at Blueberry Cabin on the Kludahk Trail.

Soaked to the bone when we got to the cabin, we lit a fire, dried ourselves off and had a spooky night of treats, tricks, food, conversation, and laughs.

On Saturday we trekked past T-Hut and over to Tower Cabin where we had some hot drinks and lunch before heading back to Blueberry.  We managed to get a brief glimpse of the sun half way through the day and happily no rain.

The fall colours were marvelous.  Our second evening found us huddled in our warm cabin with a glimpse of a ¾ moon followed by a night of monsoon sleet, snow and rain.

In the morning all was quiet as we were greeted with fresh snow for the hike out.  An amazing weekend and an adventure to be remembered (and repeated next Halloween!!??).
