Events are the most important aspect of the club. They meet our primary objective: Sharing outdoor experiences with people that want to develop their skills. We rely on the generosity of our members to be volunteer leaders for these events. We’re grateful for all the leaders have offered, but we need more leaders.
Leaders now have the option to lead trips for specific groups. This will allow the club to reach a range of members in a new way. With more options for leaders, we hope more members will transition to leading, creating more opportunities for all members.
Our volunteer leaders may host trips for specific groups such as new immigrants, women, Indigenous Peoples, and 2SLGBTQ+ members. To organize a trip for one of these identified groups, please complete the trip submission form and include the name of the specific group you’re hosting for. If you think we’ve missed a group, please get in touch with president@islandmountainramblers.com.
We look forward to continuing to provide a welcoming, inclusive community for all our members!
