Ash Pond and Drabble Lakes

Only 2 people arrived at the old Wood Mountain parking lot for an 8:30 start. The
colour of the sunlight betrayed the presence of a smoke haze in the air, and the
otherwise clear skies promised a hot day.

Ash Pond Trail, Mt. Becher via Slingshot meadows

We started at Wood Mountain parking lot. We traveled past the ruins of the old ski hill to the border of Strathcona park. From there we followed the trail and took the route signed as Drabble and lamountainie, skirting under the cliffs of Mount Becher.

Wow o wow!!! Check out this amazing photo on route to nine peaks from @walkwherethewaterruns. We are so lucky and thankful to our amazing volunteer leaders to have this trip on the schedule twice!!!!! We even went through a huge waitlist so dont be discouraged if the list is long.
