Led a 16.5km hike on Maple Mountain today. 12 people kept up a great pace, there were 3 of us from the Ramblers, with 2 that are very interested to join. It was cooler out but no rain or hail as some places got. Maple Mountain offers so much.
We started at the Orange trailhead and finished on the Blue. Taking in the red, pink, my secret trails, and even some off trail hiking. We included the summit and Rainsford Lake and everything in-between. We even saw the workings of a beaver. There were people from Cowichan, Nanaimo, Parksville, and Lake Cowichan. A truly enjoyable group.
