While the trip was open to more people, only nine members joined us on the hike up Green Mountain (around 15 people dropped off just days before the trip). Regardless, the group was amazing!

The hills were beautiful in their fall colours, and we spotted red amanita mushrooms at the base of trees, elk droppings, and enter rubbed trees all around. As we entered the upper meadows, we were surprised by a large Elk buck that greeted us with a snort, showing its displeasure at us walking in its territory.
The summit offered excellent views, but unexpected clouds made it a bit chilly. We enjoyed our time there, but we were startled by about 15 seconds of rain and hail.
Thank you for joining us on this trip.
